Rice University is located at 6100 Main Street, Houston, TX 77005.  The campus is surrounded by Main Street, Greenbriar Street, Rice, Sunset and University Boulevards.

From I-45 north or south or from US-59 from the north (including either airport):

1. Those approaching Houston on I-45 from the north or south (including either IAH or Hobby airports) should exit to US 59 South
2. Take the Greenbriar exit off of US 59, and turn left onto Greenbriar (under US 59) towards the campus.
3. Follow directions below from Greenbriar.

From the Galleria/Uptown area, or from US 290 or I-10 from the west:

1. Take West Loop 610 South and exit to US 59 North/Downtown.
2. Exit US 59 at Greenbriar; stay on the frontage road.
3. Turn right at the light onto Greenbriar.
4. Follow Greenbriar south to the light at Rice Boulevard.
5. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Rice campus entry gates will be on your right.
6. Turn right into Gate #20 and park in paid visitor parking, immediately on your left.  The parking gate opens when you insert a credit card.

From the University of Houston main campus:

1. Take Scott St. south from campus, and turn right onto Macgregor just before it crosses Braes Bayou.
2. Follow Macgregor as it crosses over Hwy. 288 and passes through Hermann park.
3. After passing the golf course, bear right to remain on Macgregor.  It ends at Main St.  Turn right at this light, onto Main St.
4. Turn left at the next light, onto Sunset Blvd.
5. As you follow Sunset around campus to the left, it forks.  Bear left to stay near the campus.  Campus entry gates are on your left.
5. Turn left into Gate #20 and park in paid visitor parking, immediately on your left.  The parking gate opens when you insert a credit card.

Parking at Rice

The interactive campus map shows the locations of various visitor parking lots (including the one at Entrance 20) in yellow. Parking access is by credit card. Please note that the visitor lot is adjacent to a faculty/staff parking lot entrance - follow the signs to enter the visitor lot. To exit the lot, you will require the same credit card you used to enter.
